I’ve finally got all the equipment for the Check-In systems, and the last 4 kiosks were delivered Monday. Thanks to Jason’s post on Granger’s kiosks for their Fellowship One check-in, I was able to steer our Kids department over to Cornerstone Cabinetry. They hooked us up with 9 really sweet kiosk cabinets. They’re portable and the front door and top shelf are lockable. That shelf slides forward so you can drop the monitor and printer down inside to keep everything secure.

This is a huge improvement over the old check-in system. The program was developed in-house and it served us well for a while, but we’ve outgrown it. The hardware and software really need to be retired.
I’m super confident in our new hardware. It’s the Shelby “Chek-In” software that I’m less confident about. I have yet to find a church similar in size who is successfully running Chek-In, so I feel a lot like a guinea pig. It’s been a bit of a struggle to get comfortable with the program, and we’re finding that Shelby isn’t all that familiar with it either. I’m confident we’ll make it work - I just hope I have hair left when we’re done.
They might just be dumping Chek-In for Arena.
